Every Child Deserves a Better Tomorrow

A child should not have to choose between surviving today and building a future.

Yet across Ghana, there are children growing up on the streets, facing circumstances that can keep them away from school, limit their opportunities and make it difficult to imagine a different future.

A Better Tomorrow was created because we believe those circumstances should not define a child’s life.

We are building a community-led initiative dedicated to helping children living on the streets access education, basic support, guidance and opportunities for a better future.

This is not about giving someone something today and forgetting about them tomorrow.

We want to invest in futures.

Our approach begins with understanding the child.

We will identify children who need support, learn about their individual circumstances, understand the barriers keeping them from education and develop a practical support plan around their needs.

That support may include school uniforms, shoes, bags, books and stationery, transportation, food and other essential needs connected to education and the child’s wellbeing. Where a child faces deeper challenges, we will look at the circumstances surrounding them and determine what responsible support is possible.

Once a child receives support, our responsibility does not end there.

We want to follow their progress.

Are they attending school? Are they able to remain in school? What challenges are they facing? What additional support do they need? How can we help them continue developing?

Our long-term goal is to build a system that can keep doing this for more children—not a one-time campaign that ends when the money runs out.

Our model is simple:

IDENTIFY → UNDERSTAND → SUPPORT → EDUCATE → DEVELOP → FOLLOW UP

We are launching our fundraising campaign with a goal of GH₵100,000. This will help us establish the first major phase of A Better Tomorrow and provide meaningful educational and practical support to children according to their individual needs.

The funds raised will be used for areas such as:

• Education and school supplies
• Uniforms, footwear and school bags
• Transportation and access to school
• Food and essential basic support
• Health and urgent needs where necessary
• Mentorship and educational development
• Follow-up and continued support
• The practical work required to identify, assess and support children responsibly

We will keep records of how funds are used and work toward providing supporters with clear updates on the progress of the project.

We also believe that helping children must be done with dignity, responsibility and care. We will not treat a child’s hardship as content. Their privacy, safety and dignity matter.

This is the beginning of something we hope can grow far beyond one fundraising campaign.

A child who is on the streets today can still become a teacher, engineer, doctor, entrepreneur, artist, leader, parent or anything else they are capable of becoming.

Their beginning does not have to become their ending.

We are asking people to stand with us as we build A Better Tomorrow.

Because every child deserves one.
