Donations are collected securely through Paystack. When your campaign has raised funds, you can request a withdrawal from your dashboard — the amount is capped at your available balance. Requests are reviewed and paid out by our team, and you will be notified by email at every step (approved, paid, or rejected).

When we pay out your withdrawal, Paystack charges a transfer fee of GHS 8 per bank transfer or GHS 1 per mobile money transfer. This fee is deducted from your withdrawal amount, so you receive your requested amount minus the transfer fee. It is separate from the 1.95% donation processing fee, which donors pay at checkout.

Campaigns can submit documents (such as a national ID or registration certificate) for review. Once approved by our team, the campaign is marked VERIFIED, signaling to donors that the cause has been vetted.

MyOpenHand charges a 0% platform fee during our launch phase. Payment processing is handled by Paystack at 1.95% per transaction and is paid by the donor at checkout — so the campaign owner receives exactly what the campaign raises. When we introduce a platform fee in the future, it will be 5% of raised funds and will always be shown before you donate. MyOpenHand never adds hidden charges.

Yes. Payments are processed by Paystack with industry-standard encryption. We never store your card details on our servers.
